According to the SBA, “The SBA is currently unable to accept new applications for the Paycheck Protection Program based on available appropriations funding.”
However, we recommend that if you plan to apply for PPP funding should it become available in the near future, we highly recommend that you begin working with your bank or identify the financial institution you wish to work with so you can get the information you will need together. Some financial institutions may also have waiting lists you will want to put your name on to be ready to process your PPP application quickly.
The best to start is with your own bank. Banks have a set of information they keep called KYC (Know Your Customer). Dealing with a bank that already has KYC information on you may speed up the process. If your bank is not writing PPP loans, there are some other options.
Try calling banks, starting with some of the local Federal Credit Unions and other regional banks. Ask them if they are processing PPP applications for those who don’t currently bank with them.
